# Virtual Accounts Setup

Get your integration ready before creating your first virtual account.

# High Level - Integration Steps

1. Complete the Prerequisites below.
2. Onboard an end customer.
3. Link an external wallet address (only required for the auto-convert Virtual Accounts).
4. Retrieve virtual accounts.
5. Manage virtual accounts.

# Pre-requisites

1. Work with zerohash to determine your **onboarding method**:
   1. **zerohash-managed KYC:** embed a zerohash-managed KYC SDK (docs <Anchor target="_blank" href="https://docs.zerohash.com/docs/onboarding-experience-sample">here</Anchor>)
   2. **Reliance:** choose your own KYC/KYB provider, implement their tech, and submit the result to zerohash via API (<Anchor target="_blank" href="https://docs.zerohash.com/reference/post_participants-customers-new">POST /participants/customers/new</Anchor> for individuals, <Anchor target="_blank" href="https://docs.zerohash.com/reference/post_participants-entity-new">POST/participants/entity/new</Anchor> for businesses)

  ### Approval needed

  The Reliance onboarding method requires approval by zerohash's Compliance team. Consult your zerohash representative to begin the review process.

2. In the <Anchor target="_blank" href="https://docs.zerohash.com/docs/onboarding">Client Portal</Anchor>, create an **API key with the "Virtual Account" permission** enabled for Read and Write.
3. Provide zerohash with your **callback URL** so we can configure your Platform to listen to the following webhook events:
   1. &#x20;<Anchor target="_blank" href="https://docs.zerohash.com/reference/participants-1">Participants:</Anchor> for End customer status updates
   2. <Anchor target="_blank" href="https://docs.zerohash.com/reference/external-account-status-updates">External Account:</Anchor> for external account status updates
      1. This is only relevant for auto-convert Virtual Accounts, where the destination blockchain wallet address is considered an External Account.

4. You will be required to send **email receipts** to your end customers for this product. These should include receipts for successful and failed deposits. Reach out to your relationship manager to get guidance on the requirements.
