Texas Statements FAQ
Why was this report sent to me?
- Zero Hash is sending a quarterly report to all Texas residents with crypto balances and amount of crypto assets held in reserve by Zero Hash against those balances to meet a new regulation that went into effect in 2023 - Section 160 of the Texas Finance Code .
- The report is generated based on end of quarter balances and is generated at a single point in time. For this reason, you may receive a report if you have a pending or processing transaction with Zero Hash at that point in time, even if you do not otherwise hold balances at Zero Hash. Additionally, balances listed may include transitory or processing transactions. Transactions finalized or settled after the point in time of the report will not be reflected.
How often will I receive this report?
- The report will be delivered via email after the end of each quarter.
How do you calculate USD equivalent value?
- Zero Hash will take a balance snapshot on the last day of each quarter. Calculation of the USD equivalence will be based on crypto prices at the time of the balance snapshot. USD equivalents may change from moment to moment as the price of crypto assets change, and the amount on your statements represents a snapshot of that moment in time.
Can I opt out of receiving this report?
- No, Zero Hash is required by law to provide the report and cannot make exceptions on an individual basis.
The value of any cryptocurrency, including any digital assets pegged to fiat currency, commodities, or any other asset, varies based on market conditions and from moment to moment, and may go to zero.
